Resident raises concerns about large fill deposit behind Curtis Park

"My concern is... that it not be another athletic field," Moore said, urging the city to consider broader youth opportunities such as 4‑H or agricultural programming rather than adding another sports field. He referenced past concerns about light spillage into the O'Neill Arroyo and said preserving a more primitive creek corridor was important to neighborhood character. Moore said he would raise the issue with the planning commission and city council as well.
The commission took the comment under advisement and indicated the topic could be pursued through planning channels; no formal action was taken at this meeting.
