Dr. Shealy emphasized volunteer contributions and named Heather Ramsey for leadership in the campaign.
She also outlined committee activity (Culture of Belonging and SEAC), plans for input surveys and listening sessions for the strategic plan (mid-November surveys, December–January listening sessions), and community-wide supports including compiled local food resources, volunteer drives, gift card and hygiene drives, and a Women in STEM alumni panel at LO High.
Board members asked for timing details for design, permits and realtor work; Dr. Shealy said the first milestones include design completion and permit requests to the city, with site moves anticipated next June.
