Mona Kaiser informed the council that a Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) grant opportunity exists with an approaching July 15 deadline and urged interested residents and councilmembers to help form a committee to meet grant requirements and prepare a competitive application. "There is a grant available through RCO, but the deadline is coming up soon, July 15th," she said.
Councilmember Carson said she is interested in assisting and noted she has a bid and a plan design from a company contacted last year, which could be used in the application. Kaiser asked anyone interested to meet to organize the committee and prepare materials before the deadline. The council did not take formal action at the June 3 meeting beyond the request to assemble volunteers.
