Supervisors reappoint county medical-examiner investigators effective July 1

The board approved, on the recommendation of Dr. Eric Peterson (Jackson County medical examiner), reappointments of county medical-examiner investigators effective July 1, 2026. The list included Raymond Ackerman, Jordan Fullerton, Anne McGill Hamilton, Lynn Miening (name appears in transcript as Meninger/Miedinger), Brent Pauls and Jamie Stayner; Dr. Peterson advised the board that investigators serve without a statutory fixed term and must meet qualification requirements.
Supervisor discussion noted that the positions require appropriate qualifications and that replacements will be sought promptly if an investigator leaves. The motion to reappoint carried unanimously.
