Committee members agreed July 15 to let the treasurer pay the water department credit card online after Water Director Jeremy Currie reported he had not been receiving statements on time and the account had incurred late fees. Currie said the credit card has a $2,000 limit and that he has set up online access to view statements.
Wendy Smith moved that the treasurer be responsible for paying the credit card, with Currie receiving the statements. The Committee "authorized up to $500.00 be charged," according to the minutes. Currie will present paperwork for the bill on the next warrant and will pay the bill online; the minutes do not specify whether the $500 cap is per month, per transaction, or otherwise.
