Tony Vandenberg described typical classroom fits (science tops, whiteboard tabletops, movable tables with castors, teacher nooks and flexible furniture for student services). The total cost staff reported for the package was $1,447,676. Director Bills moved to authorize the clerk to execute the contract; Director Lufton seconded and the motion carried.
Board members asked clarifying questions about the mix of whiteboard‑top tables and standard tables, teacher storage, and durability; staff said configurations were chosen after teacher and principal feedback, and samples had been tested with staff and students. Administration said the purchase will fit out the new building as the district prepares to open the facility.
