The supervisor told the council that 1st Street is at physical completion and that the RedTown initiative work is largely done, with only punch-list items remaining.
"1st Street is at physical completion," the Supervisor reported. Council members thanked staff and the police for coordination during work and praised the results. Councilor Julie Williams said the project "looks very, very good," and others noted the work will extend pavement life and convert long-gravel roads into true streets.
Members discussed the value for the cost and suggested considering measures to protect recently improved streets over the coming years. Staff indicated there are follow-up items and a punch list to close out, and no formal action was taken beyond the report and verbal acknowledgements.
Provenance: Supervisor's report begins at SEG 427 and council praise continues through later council comments (SEG 427'0 and SEG 519'0).
