Mayor Dwayne Paris told the council that Public Works closed the park on Saturday because the creek flooded; he said the flooding affected the far end of the park and RV spaces but did not damage the cookshack or other facilities. "PW came in on Saturday and closed the park, due to the creek flooding," the minutes state.
The mayor said crews will install a sidewalk by the church to the restrooms when the weather permits and will finish the restroom work. He also noted a new drinking fountain with a bottle-fill feature has been installed. The minutes record a planned Motorcycle Endorsement class at CLG Park on summer Saturdays; Public Works will coordinate with the group. The mayor also announced an additional panel reading "Home of the Panthers" will be added to the Asotin sign. He said he will be absent from the April 13 meeting and that Mayor Pro-Tem Lori Loseth will preside.
