Jackson County signs IDOT preconstruction agreement and approves IA 62 detour from Dec. 16, 2026 to Dec. 31, 2027
Summary
Supervisors authorized the chair and auditor to sign an IDOT Preconstruction Agreement for Primary Road Project STP-062-1(031) (IA 62 from Andrew to Bellevue) and approved an IDOT-initiated detour of IA 62 between County Roads Y61 and D61 from Dec. 16, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2027.
Jackson County Engineer Jayden Scheckel presented an IDOT preconstruction agreement for Primary Road Project STP-062-1(031), covering IA 62 between the City of Andrew and the City of Bellevue. The board voted to authorize the chair and auditor to sign the agreement.
The board separately approved an IDOT-initiated detour of Primary Highway 62 from County Road Y61 to County Road D61. The detour period was recorded as beginning December 16, 2026 and ending December 31, 2027. Both motions passed with Supervisors Schwenker, Steines and Flagel voting aye.
