Ernest Strickland of the Black Chamber of Memphis told the committee his organization is resubmitting its budget to move from a two‑year spend‑down to a one‑year schedule to comply with program requirements and expects to finalize submissions imminently. "We are resubmitting our budget, moving it from a 2 year spend down to a 1 year, to be in compliance," Strickland said.
Strickland also said the chamber has identified a vendor to build a digital directory and will produce a special edition hard-copy directory to complement the online tool. Natalie Robinson of the MMBC continuum reported project plans are outlined, locations in each district are being refined, resource providers are being identified, and a funding hold she had mentioned earlier was resolved that day. Amy Schafflin of United Housing made a brief appearance to introduce her organization and welcomed collaboration on outreach and resources.
