Chair reported that most of the cameras funded by a grant have been installed at City Hall and around town, and that the new system has already assisted in an investigation.
"They already helped us identify a hit and run person," the Chair said, describing the early success of the installation. The city will add a monitor in the council chamber to view the door camera in meetings and count court.
Council members welcomed the cameras' utility for public safety and noted staff will continue to integrate the system into operations.
