Elizabeth Arnold presented a city-initiated text amendment to sections of the municipal code governing preliminary and final subdivisions, proposing that existing structures be shown on required site plans submitted with applications rather than on recorded final plats. Staff said the change will make recorded plats easier to read and maintain accuracy over time and found the amendment met code amendment criteria to clarify intent.
Council opened the public comment period (no speakers), closed the hearing, and voted unanimously to adopt Ordinance No. 2024-O-30. "The motion passed unanimously," the meeting minutes record, and the code will be updated as provided in staff attachments.
