Chief April Morse told the council that the drug enforcement unit secured a search warrant that required a high-risk service by SWAT and led to the seizure of "significant and distributable amounts of narcotics," with multiple charges being screened against the homeowners. She also described a structure fire at a six-apartment complex on Inglebrook Drive, noting police arrived before the fire department and successfully evacuated all residents in advance of fire crews.
After the safety report, City Manager Matt Dahl led a recognition of retiring Chief Brad Larson, presenting a certificate and a staff-signed fire extinguisher and noting Larson’s years of service to Midvale. Chief Larson expressed appreciation for the recognition at the meeting.
