Kevin Donahue said the app would allow officers to record a BOLO by voice, standardize entries, distribute them instantly to many agencies and use AI to link related cases. Presenters argued the system could act like a 24/7 partner for investigators who often carry caseloads of 50–100 open files each.
Presenters said they demonstrated the product to MPD, the Shelby County Sheriff, Bartlett, Germantown, Tipton County, Southaven and Tennessee Highway Patrol and are seeking grant funding for an initial, multi‑agency rollout. Committee members emphasized that the system's value depends on broad participation and data sharing across neighboring agencies, and requested the presentation materials to share with elected officials and police chiefs.
The committee discussed next steps for coordinating chiefs and municipal commissioners ahead of a planned meeting at the end of the month. Recall's presenters said they will pursue grants and work with regional partners to build a pilot that demonstrates increased case‑clearance rates and reduced investigative workload.
