The athletic director introduced Sirwa and recounted her state times over the last three seasons—about 10:19 in 2024, 10:12 in 2025, and roughly 10:02 this spring—and noted her leadership and sportsmanship.
Board members and attendees asked Sirwa about recovering from summer injury and her goals for her senior season and beyond. Sirwa said she leaned on a strong support system and diversified her training during recovery: "I had to learn how to push myself in different ways, like the pool and on the bike," she said. Board members congratulated her and noted national recognition, including Gatorade Player of the Year honors, and a verbal commitment to Notre Dame.
