The South Weber City Council approved an interlocal cooperation agreement with Davis County for municipal election services and approved county polling locations for municipal voters.
City staff explained that Davis County administers elections for participating cities and that most costs are shared among cities based on registered voters. Staff reported an estimated cost of about $10,000 per election and said that if a primary election is required the total estimate would be about $20,000. The county’s RFP process reduced costs compared with previous years, according to staff.
Councilman Blair Halverson moved to approve Resolution 25-13 and Councilman Wayne Winsor seconded. The resolution passed on a 5–0 roll-call vote.
The agreement sets the administrative framework and polling locations for upcoming municipal elections and clarifies how election costs will be allocated among participating cities.
