Rock Island County adopted several zoning actions recommended by the Zoning Board of Appeals, approving density increases, a rural residential building lot, and two rezonings.
The board approved SU‑26‑205 (Alvin & Carl Bier) and SU‑26‑206 (Myron & Mary Ann Johnson), each granting density increases in AG‑1 with conditions including a deed restriction to preserve acreage and conform to county zoning. SU‑26‑207 (Sederquist Farms, LLC) was approved as a Rural Residential Building Lot in AG‑1; the board recorded required findings such as adequate frontage, septic capacity for two systems, and confirmation from the Rock Island County Health Department. Rezonings RZ‑26‑104 (Kiddoo) and RZ‑26‑105 (Sprott) were approved to change parcel zoning classifications consistent with the county land‑use plan.
Gregory Thorpe, Zoning Board secretary, presented the findings of fact and the board adopted the recommended conditions. Each item passed unanimously by roll call (15 yes, 0 no). The approvals include specific conditions the property owners must satisfy (recording deed restrictions, providing septic system confirmation, and meeting access requirements) as noted in the findings of fact.
