Court Services Director Derrick Hendrickx presented the addendum, which revises section 6 to allow Kane County to transport detained minors for scheduled off‑site medical or dental appointments and to charge Rock Island County mileage and an hourly staffing fee of $200 for scheduled medical transports (holiday rate $250). For non‑scheduled off‑site emergency care, Kane County will provide transportation and the county will reimburse mileage and an hourly staffing amount (the addendum sets a different hourly rate for non‑scheduled coverage). The addendum also sets a flat $100 transport fee for IDJJ commitments to St. Charles or Warrenville, noting Kane County will not transport to other IDJJ facilities.
Board Member C. Enburg moved to approve the addendum; the motion carried on roll call (15 yes, 0 no). The addendum is intended to reduce the need for Rock Island County Sheriff's Department escorts for scheduled medical appointments and to clarify billing for transports and staffing.
