Rock Island County’s Finance & Personnel committee presented and the board approved a package of unencumbered funds transfers, grant and settlement adjustments, and claims and disbursements for May 2026.
Finance Director Ryan Berger outlined transfers and emergency funding needs, noting the County Administration building roof replacement as a May emergency purchase and the associated accounting entries: the liability insurance budget increase and transfers to appropriate expenditure lines. The board adopted a resolution authorizing the transfers, which included line‑item reallocations for County Board, Highway, Human Resources, and other departmental budgets.
The board also approved claims with invoice transactions totaling $1,553,167.24 and approved Treasurer’s disbursements of $1,795,100.29 after committee review. Multiple vendors and payroll/benefit disbursements were read into the record (detailed lists included in packet). Each motion passed on roll call 15–0.
