Staff says city-center open house drew 10'''15 attendees; consultant to propose three strategy options

At the start of the work session, planning staff member Alika (speaker S5) summarized results from an open house on the City Center Plan held the previous evening at the library.
"So we had almost a full page, just quickly around 15 to 20 people. I'd say about 10 between 10 to 15 people showed up," S5 told council, describing a hands-on event with large printouts, building-height examples and a rose/bud/thorn activity that produced many post-it comments. She said attendees were especially vocal about the skate-park area and intersections such as Washington and Scorpions.
S5 said consultant Red bird Cowels photographed boards and will produce "3 strategies or 3 potential outcomes" staff will present at a joint meeting with the county commission. Staff warned council that the planning timeline is quick and that staff will circulate meeting logistics; the planning commission public hearing is tentatively scheduled for March 12.
