Staff asked council members to save Feb. 2 for a public visioning open house on the City Center small-area plan. The session was described as a 4 to 7 p.m. open-house-style workshop at Pleasant Valley Library intended to gather public input on future planning for the city center.
Staff also noted a tentative combined planning commission and city council work session on March 12 to further the planning timeline, and said logistics for an upcoming council retreat would be circulated to members. Staff provided practical details about parking and reimbursement procedures for meeting attendees and members who will travel for the retreat.
The city said it would advertise the visioning event through local channels, including outreach to a high-school government class to encourage youth participation in the small-area plan process.
