Dan Determan of Beckwith Commercial Roofing appeared via Zoom to discuss recurring snow and ice accumulation on the Pearson Center roof at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. Determan said he would "pay the labor costs if the county would pay for the material," and the board directed him to prepare a formal proposal for consideration at the next board meeting.
The board did not make a decision on repairs or approve funding at the July 7 session. The record shows only the contractor's offer and the board’s instruction to return with a written proposal; any costs, schedule, or contractor obligations will be determined after the proposal is submitted and considered.
