Agriculture Director Vaughn Sievers told the board the State Veterinarian's guidance regarding Vesicular Stomatitis was reviewed and that new health certificate requirements apply to livestock arriving from affected states.
Sievers also reported Ag Team offices will transition to event locations beginning Aug. 1 as staff finalize logistics for livestock and youth programming. Ryan Hassebrook noted FFA entries close Aug. 10, and 4‑H staff reported statewide county fair season is underway with state shooting sports and horse events concluded successfully.
The board acknowledged ongoing planning for 2027 and discussed additional Aksarben revenue opportunities through entry fees, online sales, VIP parking and tie-outs. Kourtney Lingeman will be recognized for a Hall County Outstanding 4‑H Alumni award the coming Saturday during the Hall County Fair.
