A Staff member (S1) said, "A Wednesday morning ribbon cutting at Grand Prairie's new Alice Court affordable housing development celebrates the completion of a collaborative effort more than 3 years in the making between the city, Dallas County, and some generous community partners who teamed up to provide life changing opportunities for 10 1st time Grand Prairie homeowners." The bulletin said the project was supervised by the Grand Prairie Housing and Neighborhood Services Department and completed in just five months.
Lupe Cabello was named in the bulletin as "one of six new residents that has already moved his family in on Alice Court." Another Staff member (S6) emphasized that city crews handled site work, saying, "All the pipes in the ground, the drainage systems that are behind these houses, the streets that are here, all of that was done by city hands." The bulletin said each new home has three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage and that "officials say they already have contracts on the remaining 4 homes."
