An applicant representative who identified himself as Dushyant told commissioners the building is about 50% occupied and that reducing the required parking ratio could help attract restaurants and other tenants. Staff noted the amendment does not change the site's physical layout or increase impacts on surrounding properties; it primarily updates the legal parking standard to match current city policy. Commissioner Abel moved to close the public hearing and approve the amendment as presented; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously. The change will let the property use current GDC ratios going forward, leaving the existing excess parking in place.
