County approves Kings 3 elevator phone and Brightspeed internet contracts; staff cites $886.75 monthly savings

Separately, the court approved a one‑year Brightspeed package that upgrades the Main Street Annex from 200 Mbps to 2,000 Mbps, adds a secondary internet path for resilience, and upgrades other county facilities to higher fiber speeds. Staff presented a cost comparison showing the county would cancel $1,441.51 of telecom expenses and pay $5,547.60 for the new consolidated services, resulting in a net monthly savings of $886.75.
