The Oconto County Highway Committee reviewed and awarded several material and construction contracts at its March 5 meeting.
AC oil bids opened March 2 and the committee allocated PG 58/28S 75% to Wisco Oil and split the remaining 25% among HG Meigs, Cenovus and Flint Hills; CRS-2P, HFRS-2P and 58/34S were awarded to HG Meigs and HFE-1000 to Flint Hills. Burner oil was awarded to Rock Oil Refining at $1.235 per gallon delivered (up to 110,000 gallons). Milling work was awarded to MCC Inc., pulverizing to Northeast Asphalt; hot-mix asphalt was awarded to Northeast Asphalt (example pickup price: 3LT 58/28S $49.90/Ton).
Committee motions to award the respective bids were recorded as carried in the minutes; no roll-call tallies were included. The minutes include revised bids submitted March 2–3 for some items and specific unit prices and mobilization fees for milling and pulverizing contractors.
