Avon WPCA schedules Sept. 10 public hearing on Hollister Drive benefit assessments

Town Engineer Lawrence Baril told the Avon Water Pollution Control Authority that the Hollister Drive sewer project is complete but final construction costs from Hemlock Construction were not yet available. Baril said he would like to hold a public hearing on the benefit assessments at the September meeting to allow time for final accounting.
On a motion by Vice-Chair Pam Monroe, seconded by Drew Bloom, the Authority voted to set the public hearing for September 10, 2026, on benefit assessments for 125, 135 and 124 Hollister Drive. The motion carried with Monroe, Chair Chris Roy, Aden Baume and Drew Bloom voting in favor. Baril said he hoped to have final construction costs prior to the hearing but did not have them at the July meeting.
