Council approves consent agenda including multiple equipment purchases and contracts

At the start of the business agenda, Mayor Dylan Hedrick presented a consent agenda covering items such as approval of the April 7 minutes; purchases including Lucas devices for the fire department, dump trailers and pickup trucks; transmission-line materials and switch station steel for Garland Power & Light; a 2026 street maintenance contract; water/wastewater and drainage improvements; and an interlocal agreement for an Internet Crimes Against Children grant.
Councilmember Bass moved to approve the consent agenda as presented and Mayor Pro Tem Luck seconded. The mayor asked members to vote by raised hand because electronic voting was not functioning; the chair announced the vote as unanimous and moved the meeting to items for individual consideration.
