Bolton fire chief accepts resignation; lieutenant promotion effective Feb. 1
Summary

During the Jan. 23 meeting Chief Dixon reported personnel changes within the department: he accepted the resignation of one lieutenant and said another Firefighter/EMT will be promoted to lieutenant effective Feb. 1, 2017. The minutes do not give the departing lieutenant’s name or the name of the promoted firefighter.
Chief Dixon also told commissioners that he and the other chiefs attended the Tolland County Mutual Aid Fire Service meeting, where he was elected secretary of the Board of Directors. No formal personnel vote was recorded in the Bolton commission minutes; the minutes treat the personnel notes as operational updates.
