The Windsor Locks Board of Education voted unanimously on Nov. 14 to appoint Lexi Ratti as the town’s representative to the Suffield Regional Agriscience Center Consulting Committee for a three-year term.
Superintendent Shawn Parkhurst introduced the nomination, noting Ratti is a graduate of the Suffield Agriscience Program, remains active as an alumna and lives and works in Windsor Locks. The board discussed the role of the committee, which advises the regional center on programs, facilities and curriculum and is required by state regulation to meet at least twice per year.
Board member Greg Guyette moved the nomination, L. Cutler seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. The appointment provides Windsor Locks with an advisory liaison to the Suffield center, which serves multiple towns in the region.
