An independent firm presented Willard's 2024 Fraud Risk Assessment to the council on June 12, reporting a high numeric score and identifying a small number of follow-up items.
Ryan Child of Child, Richards LLC told the council the assessment scored the city 365 out of 395, placing it at a "very low" risk level, but that two items remain incomplete: annual ethics statements from some officials and entity-specific training completion for several council members. He informed the council those items need to be completed by June 30.
Council members acknowledged the assessment and its findings; staff were asked to ensure the outstanding items are completed within the stated timeframe.
