Save Lusby says court denied dismissal of appeal and lawsuit will proceed against Lusby Village approval
Summary
A Save Lusby representative told the commission the group's petition for appeal of the Lusby Village apartment project was revived after a court denied a dismissal; the speaker described the development as "a 200 plus unit, 30 plus acre apartment complex" and said the group is raising funds to continue legal action.

Sean McGuire, speaking for Save Lusby, told the commission the organization formed to oppose the Lusby Village project and to educate residents about proposed development impacts. McGuire said the project — described during his remarks as "a 200 plus unit, 30 plus acre apartment complex" — was approved 4–3 by Planning & Zoning and that Save Lusby filed an appeal of that decision. He said a petition to dismiss the appeal was denied by the court and that the appeal is moving forward.
McGuire urged public awareness and fundraising to support litigation, and directed listeners to savelusby.com for information about the petition, the appeal status and how to help. He framed the group's effort as opposing what he called "egregious over development" and urged commissioners to consider community impacts as related processes move forward.
