Library Services Director Genesis Hansen thanked the Friends and said the library relies on their volunteer time and financial support to expand programming.
Councilmembers posed for photographs with volunteers and the council expressed appreciation for the Friends' long‑term contributions, noting the group has raised more than $3 million for the library since it opened in 1997, according to the proclamation.
