The Village of Bonduel Plan Commission on Oct. 21 deferred consideration of possible business development in the municipal business park after the interested realtor was unable to attend the meeting.
Director of Municipal Operations Jesse Rankin told commissioners that Realtor Jason Aguirre had contacted him about building mini-storage units on a business-park lot and that Aguirre also had a buyer interested in a granite/quartz fabrication business with a storefront and showroom. Rankin said, "mini-storage units have been turned down in the past by the Plan Commission," and that Aguirre called before the meeting to say he could not attend due to other commitments. By consensus the commission removed the item from the agenda and agreed to bring it back if Aguirre re-engages with staff.
No formal motion or vote was taken on the potential developments beyond the consensus to remove the item; commissioners did not debate specifics of site design, traffic or other impacts in Aguirre's absence.
