The Committee of the Whole recommended that the Board approve a shared-services agreement to fund a School Resource Officer (SRO) position after the Village Attorney reviews the draft contract. Police Chief Keith Fischer told the Committee the Bonduel School Board approved the SRO position at its October meeting and that the draft agreement includes a 10‑year term with an option for either party to discontinue if the arrangement does not work as planned.
Fischer said the Village and School District are reviewing the draft agreement and asked for legal review to ensure accuracy and compliance. "The agreement has also been provided to the School District to review. It is a 10-year agreement but there is the option that either party can discontinue the contract if the position is not working as planned," Fischer said. The Committee voted unanimously to recommend the agreement to the Board once the Village Attorney has had time to review and provide feedback.
