The Traill County Water Resource District unanimously authorized the removal of a dilapidated culvert on Mickelson Drain No. 13 in Section 2 of Caledonia Township, approving up to $5,000 for contractor procurement.
Manager Joel Halvorson moved "to authorize Chairman Siegert to procure a contractor to remove the dilapidated pipe, not to exceed $5,000." Manager Jason Lovas seconded the motion, which carried on a roll call vote. The Board instructed staff to proceed with contracting and to report back on timing and costs.
The authorization is intended to address an approach with a failing culvert that could affect access or drainage; the Board recorded the dollar cap in its motion and set procurement to begin promptly.
Next steps include awarding a contract and confirming installation or restoration requirements in the project packet.
