On June 18 the planning commission approved SS26-014, amending the Roberts Subdivision by splitting an existing 10-acre lot at approximately 9310 N 6000 W into five 2-acre lots. Commissioner Brandon East moved to approve the amendment; Commissioner Jared Holmgren seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Staff required departmental approvals and a geotechnical and soils report prior to plat recording. Commissioners discussed an irrigation ditch near the subdivision: Commissioner East noted county code restricts open ditches within 30 feet of subdivisions and that state code may only require piping if the ditch is modified; staff asked the commission to give further consideration to the ditch in the final conditions. The conditions of approval include compliance with Utah State Code Sections 17-79-711 and 712.
