On June 18 the planning commission forwarded a recommendation of approval for SP26-005, a site-plan request for Phase 2 of Steel Solar & Battery II at approximately 6500 West 20800 North in the Plymouth area. Commissioner Bonnie Robinson moved approval; Commissioner Jared Holmgren seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Staff said the application has previously been approved twice and the county engineer again asked whether electrical interconnection will go under or over a county road when connecting to nearby infrastructure. The recommendation includes compliance with staff comments, placement of warning signage at entrances and perimeters, and adherence to applicable sections of the Box Elder County Land Use Management & Development Code and other laws.
