The Kalkaska County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 15 approved Budget Amendments 2025-020 through 036 and 038 through 044 and authorized large bill payments and payroll disbursements.
Chair Kohn Fisher moved to adopt the listed budget amendments; the motion, supported by Commissioner David Comai, passed on a roll-call vote with five yeas and two absences. The Board then authorized Post-Approved Bills of $1,866,345.16, General Fund bills of $424,230.04, Payroll #19 for $226,577.85 and Payroll #20 for $219,536.65, in addition to commissioner per-diem and salary line items listed in the packet.
Commissioners discussed routine finance oversight and accepted the county treasurer's bank reconciliation included in the meeting packet. The fiscal approvals were presented as part of the Finance Committee recommendations and moved by Chair Fisher during the meeting's finance section. No dissenting votes were recorded; Commissioners Truman Bicum and Jeff Sieting were absent.
