The Henderson Board authorized $31,670 to buy new turbidity meters for the municipal water plant. Utility Director Darryl Green told aldermen the meters measure water clarity and that the plant has experienced problems; because only a few vendors make the meters and the city has a contract with Labtronics, UD Green recommended purchasing from Labtronics.
Alderman Keith Smith moved to approve the purchase and Alderman Donna R. Butler seconded; the motion carried. The minutes note the expenditure was included in this fiscal year's water-plant budget but do not provide a delivery estimate or installation timeline.
