Finance director reviews sales tax and expenditure reports; Clerk of Courts requests carry-over

Finance Director Betty Bickel reviewed the 2025 and 2026 county sales tax report and the 2025 fourth-quarter expenditure report, saying she will apply sales tax to finalize the accounts in a future meeting. Bickel also reviewed bank reconciliations.
Bickel reported that Clerk of Courts (Department 11) is requesting to carry over funds to cover a lengthy jury trial anticipated in 2026. County Administrator Richard Heath reminded the committee that auditors will be on-site the week of April 27, 2026, and that the subject of a sub-account for capital improvement projects will return to the committee for possible action in the future.
These items were presented for the committee's information; no formal action was taken on the carry-over request at the March 12 meeting.
