Students and volunteers highlight 4‑H, Walk Against Drugs and 'Love Mission Viejo' volunteer day

Several youth and community representatives used the public‑comment period to introduce local programs and encourage participation in upcoming events. Bree Jokers, club leader of the Trabuco Trail Blazers 4‑H Club, said the club has about 40 members and invited volunteers and new enrollees; student speakers Giovanni Hubnick, Kate Schoenberg and Kai Schoenberg described leadership and 4‑H projects.
Pastor Mike Manolo announced a 'Love Mission Viejo' volunteer day on Oct. 12 with a morning rally at Newhart Middle School and 27 projects; he said about 450 people had registered. Council members thanked the youth and volunteers and encouraged community participation at both the Oct. 12 volunteer day and the Oct. 19 Walk Against Drugs.
