Commissioner Robert Baldwin raised objections to spending and leadership choices, urging increased revenue rather than higher taxes. Commissioner Jeffrey Sieting asked about the status and expense of the Strategic Plan and whether it would be used effectively.
No formal budget amendments were passed at the special meeting; the minutes show the board directed administration to further evaluate job descriptions and budget impacts and to return with clarification on DEP, dispatch funding and how proceeds of any property sale would be used.
