Wake County honors Sheriff’s Office captain Jim Landmark for 25 years of service

County Manager David Ellis opened a brief retiree recognition at the start of the Oct. 20 meeting to honor Jim Landmark of the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, who is retiring after 25 years of service.
Ellis said Landmark worked his way from deputy to sergeant to lieutenant and ultimately to captain of the special operations division, including more than 20 years on the special response team that began in 2003. “Let's give Jim a round of applause,” Ellis said, and the Board acknowledged Landmark’s service with thanks.
The recognition was ceremonial; no formal action was required or taken during the meeting.
