At the June 16 meeting the Traill County EDC set several near-term governance and education items.
Executive Director Jim Murphy said he will send a draft budget by July 10 and requested feedback by July 17, when the executive committee will meet to review the budget. Murphy also set Aug. 4 as the organizational committee date to review bylaws and said he will send a reminder with the current bylaws attached. Murphy said he is still working on recruiting Scott Hovde to serve as the Portland board member.
The board discussed the annual mayors' and auditors' summit scheduled for Aug. 6 and agreed to delay another Lead Local training until after the November elections. Murphy said staff attended the GNDC Future Forum, where Dr. Marian Tupy presented on the time value of money and staff applied the formula to local housing costs.
