Logan County commissioners approve plats, contracts, insurance resolution and inmate-housing pacts

The Board of Logan County Commissioners on June 30 approved two subdivision plats, awarded a $160,300 construction contract for fairgrounds renovations, adopted a $600,966 ACCO-SIG insurance resolution, and approved interlocal agreements to house inmates for Canadian County and the City of Crescent.
The Board of Logan County Commissioners met June 30 in Guthrie and approved a slate of routine and project-specific actions, including two subdivision plats, vendor contracts and interlocal inmate-housing agreements.
Commissioner Floyd Coffman moved, and Mark Sharpton seconded, to approve the minutes of June 15, 2026. The motion carried with Commissioners Monty Piearcy, Mark Sharpton and Floyd Coffman recorded as voting AYE.
The board then approved the Final Plat of Lodges at Indian Ridge, Section 3 (23 lots) and the plat of The Caverns (105 lots). On procurement, the board awarded Bid #2026-17 for renovations and upgrades to the Educational Building at the Logan County Fairgrounds to JNL Construction for $160,300.00; the $10,500 sewer-repair option was excluded.
On insurance, the board adopted Resolution #26-048 to participate in ACCO-SIG property and liability insurance for FY 2026-27, accepting a premium of $600,966.00 and selecting payment option #1. The board also approved FY 2026-27 contracts and agreements, including school resource officer (SRO) contracts with local districts and multiple sheriff-office vendor agreements and fees.
The board approved interlocal agreements to provide inmate housing for Canadian County at $41.00 per inmate per day and for the City of Crescent at $32.00 per inmate per day for FY 2026-27. County claims for payment totaling $389,440.36 (Batch 043) were approved and the meeting was adjourned until July 1, 2026.
"THAT, Bid #2026-17 be awarded to JNL Construction, in the amount of $160,300.00. The $10,500 option for sewer repair is not included," the board record states. The minutes show unanimous votes on the recorded motions throughout the session.
