Council approves up-to-$25,000 task order for public water system technical assistance

Interim CAO Jessie Chamberlin presented Interstate Engineering Task Order 10 to provide technical assistance for the City of Sidney’s public water system, including training, mentorship, troubleshooting and development of operational manuals and logs. The task order is capped at $25,000 and was approved by the council (motion by Alderman DiFonzo, seconded by Alderwoman Christensen).
Chamberlin said the work is intended to strengthen operational standards and workforce development for the Water Department. The recorded motion authorizes the city to engage Interstate Engineering for on-call support to improve system resilience and staff capacity.
