Interim CAO Jessie Chamberlin explained the shop remodel needs a mini-split HVAC unit because existing in-wall air conditioners leave irregular openings and the windows are not suitable for replacements; the mini-split work order (WO10) totals $5,107 and was approved by council (motion by Alderwoman Christensen, seconded by Alderwoman Larson).
Chamberlin also presented WO11 — $80,800 for exterior siding and gutters — describing this as the next SLIPA-funded phase of shop updates. She said the work is anticipated to start Sept. 15 and be completed by Dec. 15, 2026, and that approving WO11 would reduce available SLIPA funds to $73,663.47. The council approved WO11 (motion by Alderwoman Rasmussen, seconded by Alderman Kauffman).
