Residents urge Planning board to delay Manila RV dump-station plan, say process 'backdoored'

Robby West and Bill West told the board they are building homes adjacent to the parcel and are worried about safety and property impacts. The board heard requests for clearer documentation of permits and agency reviews; Jennifer Allphin, a Manila town employee, said the town has required permits but did not provide permit copies in the meeting record.
The board did not table the issue that evening: after hearing public comment and technical updates, Allan Wood moved to forward the rezone request to the County Commissioners, a motion that passed unanimously in the meeting minutes. Residents said they will continue to press for additional public meetings and documentation during the county-level review process.
